It’s a stark reminder that Health and Safety is vital for employees, customers and business productivity.
Partly as a result of the Pike River Mine disaster, the Health and Safety Reform Bill passed into law (the Health and Safety at Work Act) and entered into force in 2016. The Act changes New Zealand’s health and safety system and in short, under the law everybody is responsible for Health and Safety.
