Shopper Mini Bus Service now available

North Canterbury Mini Bus Trust is now operating a Shopping Bus service for Older or Disabled People. to local supermarkets and malls.

This is a door to door service, with mini buses fitted with side steps and wheel-chair hoist for easy access.

Fares are $1 each way.

Buses operate from Rangiora on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

To book phone (o3) 313 8588 by 5pm the day before you wish to travel.

Mayor David Ayers spoke along with the co-founder of the collective Lisa Willets before the ribbon was cut. A Karakia(prayer) and a moment of silence was also held for the victims of the Christchurch attack. The collective has taken up occupancy of the old Waikuku School which was sitting derelict. Now the school rooms have new life breathed into then. They're home to several businesses including a cafe, an antiques store, a gift store, a yoga studio and a health consultancy service.
