Celebrate the beginning of spring by visiting Cheviot in the neighbouring Hurunui District on Saturday the 8th of September 2018.
Food, Flowers, Market stalls and Fun. Children friendly activities. All based at the Cheviot Area School. The festival starts at 10am with the Cheviot Area school kapa haka.
There will be market stalls at the school grounds, an amazing floral art display in the Knox Church, and the Museum will be open. The Antiques Roadshow will also be there, so bring in your
- Friday 7 Sept – Lions Quiz at the Cheviot Hotel and Spring Farmers evening at Mt Beautiful Two Rivers.
- Saturday 8 Sept – Over 60 market stalls with arts, crafts, food, coffee and everything in between, fashion parade, domain tours, village walks, hanging basket competition, decorated businesses and much more. From from 6.30pm come and celebrate 125 years of settlement in Cheviot, tickets on Eventfinda.co.nz from mid July.
- Sunday 9th Sept – commemorative tree planting in the domain, combined service at the Cheviot Knox Community Centre followed by a cuppa and a sing along.
Explore the village. Take a walk around the beautiful Cheviot Hills reserve. This is an excellent opportunity to support a fantastic and resilient community recovering from the Kaikoura quakes!
Please note: There will be no shuttle this year. But why not grab some mates or family friends and car pool?
